Zephras Isle · Levels 1–12

Zephras Isle is where the Skyborne start: a floating island in Skywall, the elemental plane of air, for levels 1 to 12. This guide has every quest on it, grouped by the place you pick it up, in the order you reach those places by level, with what each quest asks and what it gives you.

The quests start in 11 places. Go through them in the order of the numbers and you’ll rarely meet a quest above your level.

The Skyborne story runs through all of it: the elementals have left, the pylons holding the island together are failing, and the Windshapers, the High Order and the Al’Aketh each want to decide what happens next. The story splits where the Windshapers (the Horde’s Skyborne) and the High Order (the Alliance’s) go their own ways.

Quests that start somewhere else

3 quests start where this map can’t show it: from an item you find, in another zone, or from someone whose spot isn’t known: Hopping Helpers (level 11), Valanaar Vintages (level 11) and Ripped Missive (level 12).

39 of the 110 quests are for one side only, marked in the lists. A Horde character can do 92 quests for 42,445 experience and An Alliance character can do 89 quests for 41,450 experience.

The longest quest chains

Chains carry a zone’s story. These are the longest; pick up the first quest and the rest follow. Quests joined by “and” are offered together.

Leaving the island

The boat leaves from the Valanaar Skydocks in the south of the island (Valanaar on the map). It sails to Dalaran for the Alliance, where a Skyborne-only portal goes on to Stormwind, and to Skywatcher Plateau in Mulgore for the Horde, which has no portal. 110 quests from levels 1–13. A Horde character can do 92, worth 42,445 experience and A Alliance character can do 89, worth 41,450 experience. They start in 11 places; this page puts every one of them on the map.

What level do you leave Zephras Isle?

Blizzard calls it a level 1 to 12 starting zone, and its quests go up to level 13. You don’t have to finish it, though: Skyborne can leave at any level.

How do you leave Zephras Isle?

By boat from the Valanaar Skydocks in the south of the island: to Dalaran for the Alliance and to Skywatcher Plateau in Mulgore for the Horde.

Which reputations do the Zephras Isle quests give?

Doing every quest as a Horde Skyborne gives 1,670 Windshapers, 1,370 High Order and 1,000 Nightclaw Druids reputation. Doing every quest as an Alliance Skyborne gives 1,860 High Order, 1,510 Windshapers and 1,000 Nightclaw Druids reputation.
