Best Professions in WoW Forever for Every Class

By Marc · Updated October 12, 2026

Built on the WoW Forever beta. Items, talents and stats can still change before launch on November 4, 2026, and for some new items it isn't known yet where they come from.

Professions matter more in WoW Forever than a Classic veteran might expect: the beta has 922 new recipes, and several new crafted items are among the best leveling gear for their level. This page looks at professions the way a leveling character does: which ones make the gear you'll actually wear.

The counts below come from the class guides' leveling lists: for each class, how many of its best items for levels 20, 30 and 40 (all specs, both factions) are crafted, per profession. Gold-making and endgame crafting aren't counted.
