About World Buffs in WoW Classic Hardcore
World buffs are powerful temporary buffs lasting two hours that dramatically increase your character's damage, survivability, and critical strike chance. In WoW Classic Hardcore, where death is permanent, having world buffs active before a dangerous dungeon or raid run can make the difference between success and losing your character for good. Knowing when they go out, and being in the right place when they do, is part of playing Hardcore seriously.

Onyxia / Nefarian: Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer
Triggered when a player turns in the head of Onyxia (from Onyxia's Lair) or Nefarian (from Blackwing Lair) at their faction's capital city. Every player present in that city at the moment of the turn-in receives the buff automatically.
Grants bonus Attack Power and increased critical strike chance for melee, ranged, and spells.
Alliance: be in Stormwind City
Horde: be in Orgrimmar
Zul'Gurub (ZG): Spirit of Zandalar
Triggered when a player turns in the Heart of Hakkar in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale. Unlike the dragon head buffs, Spirit of Zandalar is available to both Alliance and Horde, but you must be physically present in Booty Bay at the time of the turn-in. It does not broadcast to cities.
Grants a 15% increase to all stats.
Both factions: be in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale
Rend: Warchief's Blessing
Triggered when a Horde player turns in the Head of Rend Blackhand at Orgrimmar. Rend Blackhand is a boss found in Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS), a 10-player dungeon inside Blackrock Mountain on the border of the Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge. This buff is Horde only.
Grants bonus maximum Health, Fire Resistance, and increased combat stats.

All times shown on this page are automatically converted to your local timezone. The schedule covers three WoW Classic Hardcore servers: Doomhowl, SoulSeeker, and ThunderStrike. Use the server filter at the top to show only your realm.
Notifications
Click Enable notifications at the top of this page to get alerted before a world buff goes out. You can choose browser pop-up notifications, voice announcements (text-to-speech), or both. Set how far in advance you want the alert: 30, 20, 10, 5, or 1 minute. Filter by buff type and faction so you only hear about buffs that are relevant to your character.
